Ex-Dunamis Pastor and Enenche Brothers Seek Immediate Release from Abuja Court

Ex-Dunamis Pastor and Enenche Brothers Seek Immediate Release from Abuja Court

In a dramatic turn of events, former Dunamis pastor Abraham Daniel, along with Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche—siblings of Pastor Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre—have petitioned an Abuja Magistrate Court to overturn their remand order and secure their immediate release from Keffi Custodial Centre in Nasarawa State.

Allegations and Arrest

The trio was arrested following allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche.

Legal Proceedings and Remand

After honoring a police invitation on January 13, 2025, they were detained and subsequently remanded to Keffi Custodial Centre based on a Magistrate Court order.

Their legal counsel has filed a motion challenging the remand order, arguing that the detention is unwarranted and infringes upon their fundamental rights.

Background of the Dispute

The conflict traces back to earlier accusations by Pastor Daniel, who alleged that Pastor Paul Enenche had reneged on a prior agreement.

Public and Legal Reactions

The case has garnered significant public attention, with various groups advocating for the detainees' rights.

As the legal battle unfolds, all eyes remain on the Abuja Magistrate Court's decision regarding the petition for immediate release, a ruling that could set a precedent for similar cases involving allegations of cyberbullying and defamation within religious communities.
