In a heartwarming start to the new year, Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, celebrated the arrival of 2025’s first babies with a special visit to the Asokoro General Hospital in Abuja. Represented by Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Tinubu extended her goodwill to newborns and their families, marking the occasion with thoughtful gifts and words of encouragement.

During the visit, the First Lady presented gifts to the first male and female babies of the year, as well as other infants born on January 1. The symbolic gesture reinforced her dedication to nurturing the future of Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of providing a supportive environment for children to flourish.

Speaking through her representative, Mrs. Tinubu reaffirmed the current administration’s commitment to creating opportunities for every Nigerian child to thrive and achieve their potential. She assured parents that the government remains steadfast in its mission to foster a society where children can grow, dream, and succeed.

"The children born today are not just blessings to their families but also a promise for the future of our great nation," she said. "Parents must cherish and nurture these gifts from God, ensuring they grow into individuals who will contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria."

This compassionate outreach by the First Lady highlights the administration's focus on the welfare of children and families, setting a positive tone for 2025. Her efforts resonate with the broader vision of empowering Nigerian youth and creating a brighter future for generations to come.
